Who do you most admire? According to USA Today/Gallup Poll, President Obama is the most admired man in the country and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the most admired woman.

According to the poll, which was conducted in early December, 22 percent of Americans stated that they admire Obama the most.

Obama was not the only President to make the list. More surprisingly, former President George W. Bush took second place, as 5 percent of Americans admired him the most.

Former President Bill Clinton took third place with 4 percent. Jimmy Carter also tied for eighth place with Fox News host Glenn Beck. Carter and Beck each took 2 percent.

For the women, Hillary Clinton took first with 17 percent. Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential nominee took second with 12 percent.

Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama took third and fourth place. Ninth place was another interesting spot as Barbara Bush, Laura Bush, and Burmese Nobel Peace Prize Winner Aung San Suu Kyi all tied with 1 percent.

Though 10 percent of the people polled named a friend or relative, Wesleyan University professor Richard Slotkin said the poll was all about power. It is also important to consider the readership of USA Today.
