Lil’ Kim Nicki Minaj Dis – Lil’ Kim, a person that many have compared to Nicki Minaj , had some harsh words for the current queen of female rap. It was only a matter of time until she said something about Minaj, who many have said copied her style and has a similar rap voice to Kim. The jab that Kim took may have been a subliminal, but it was a very pointed attempt to discredit Minaj, who has seen a large amount of success in recent weeks.
Lil’ Kim was reportedly rapping a verse from a previous single of hers entitled “Crush On You,” when she ripped off her wig and threw it to the crowd stating that she was “above wearing wigs” now even though she loved them.
Kim said “You all know who this is, I love starting trends”. She then closes out her performance by saying “I’m going to another level. I love the wigs and everything but I’m so above them” and threw the wig.
The act was taken as a direct shot at Minaj who is known for wearing wigs, much like Lil’ Kim was in the prime of her career. The two have similar music, similar styles, but are from different eras in the genre. Minaj responded by leaving the following message on her Twitter page;
“Raise ya hand if u don’t have 2 diss ppl to feel better about urself,” she wrote. “Jealousy is a disease. It kills @ a fast pace. Kisses 2 my bad b—-es.”
Neither artist has specifically mentioned the other as of yet, but that does appear to be heading in that direction based on the recent shots between the two. Both rappers have relied heavily on sex appeal in their careers.
