Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming

Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming – Rainforest Films’ Stomp the Yard is following up with a sequel and the new installment will showcase some new and familiar faces.
Rainforest’s Will Packer is producing the follow-up to the 2007 Screen Gems release, Stomp the Yard, which grossed $74 million worldwide. Packer is also the brainchild behind the 2009 movie Obsessed, starring Beyoncé Knowles.
While the film is in post-production, Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming, begun principal photography in Atlanta in the winter of 2009, according to The Hollywood Reporter.


The movie centers around Collins Pennie (Fame), who stars as Chance Harris, a student juggling school, job, girls, debt and a looming nationally televised step competition during a stressful homecoming weekend at Truth University.
Pooch Hall (The Game), Terrence J (106 & Park), Lil Duval, Tika Sumpter (One Life to Live), Kiely Alexis Williams (The Cheetah Girls), Keith David (Gamer), rapper David Banner and music artist Teyana Taylor join So You Think You Can Dance runner-up Stephen “Twitch” Boss in the cast.
Directed by Rob Hardy and written by Albert Leon, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters sometime this summer.
Hardy and Packer founded Rainforest Films in 1994, and the dynamic duo recently produced This Christmas, starring Chris Brown, and the heist film, Takers.
