DC Carnival 2010 – The DC Caribbean Carnival 2010 takes place today and the festival will show all of its beauty.The crowds are packed with anticipation and energy. Many dress up in colorful Caribbean themed costumes for the plethora of events and parades. The festival will also have a number of food booths set up with some of the best island cuisine that you will find available for purchase.

Along with food and parades, the carnival will also feature memorabilia shops that feature items from popular Caribbean sports. If you are into any of the sports that are traditionally played in the region, the DC Caribbean Carnival is a great place to go stock up on your sporting goods.


The Carnival will also have a lot of music and dancing. While most of the music that is played there will be traditional Caribbean music, like zouk ,soca, compas ,there are many different types of music during the bash.There will also be live entertainment, including an array of different singers, singing for huge crowds.

Some of the traditional instruments that are used in Caribbean music include the xylophone, among other instruments. They make for a unique sound that is not heard in many other genres of music.

With most of the focus on music and dancing, there will still be plenty of activities for individuals that do not really feel like dancing.
