Terrell Owens Cincinnati Bengals Deal

Terrell Owens Cincinnati Bengals Deal – The Bengals have taken another troubled athlete into their camp. The team is known for picking up troubled or problem players including Adam Jones, who has had problems with drug possession previously. Terrell Owens will be joining his good friend, Chad Ochocinco, who campaigned all off-season long for the Bengals to bring Owens into the fold. Ochocinco will remain the number one receiver on the team, and Owens will assume the number two position.

Two years ago the team lost its star receiver, TJ Houshmanzadeh to the Seattle Seahawks during the free agency period. This left Ochocinco as their main option and has really limited his effectiveness as the team has struggled to get the ball into his hands with defenses focusing on him. The addition of Owens may be a distraction, but it should free up Chad Ochocinco to catch a few more balls this year.

Owens will show up when workouts begin on Thursday, according to a number of sources. Owens kept fans updated on his Twitter account, at one point saying that he hoped that he would be signed to the Bengals within the next 24 hours. He is expected to officially sign the deal as soon as he arrives in Georgetown to meet once again with team officials.

The move is an interesting one that will improve the team as long as they can keep the locker room atmosphere a positive one. Last year Owns caught 55 passes for 829 yards and five touchdowns with the struggling Buffalo Bills.
