Raunchy comedian Tracy Morgan is in the hot seat after publicly revealing some too-private thoughts about political juggernaut Sarah Palin.
Morgan was at a Heats-Knicks basketball game when he joined Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith on “Inside the NBA.” Morgan was call on to settle an argument Smith said he and Barkley have “all the time.” “Tina Fey or Sarah Palin?”
After Barkley noted Morgan “can’t get fired,” he asked the comedian, who is known for unpredictable behavior and a blue streak in his routine, “Sarah Palin’s good looking isn’t she?”
That was about all the encouragement the former Saturday Night Live star needed.
“Now let me tell you something about Sarah Palin man,” Morgan said. “She’s good masturbation material. The glasses and all that? Great masturbation material.”
TNT later offered an apology for Morgan’s comments that ran in USA Today.
“It’s unfortunate Mr. Morgan showed a lack of judgment on our air with his inappropriate comments,” said Jeff Pomeroy, a TNT spokesman.
Morgan currently plays Tracy Jordan on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock. He was a star character on Saturday Night Live from 1996 until 2003 where he was known for his skits that involved memorable characters like “Brian Fellows” and “Astronaut Jones.”
