Tyler Perry Tops Forbes Highest-Paid Man In Entertainment List

Tyler Perry whose real name is Emmitt Perry, Jr has surprised the world (because of the fact that he is very discreet with his wealth) to land on top of Forbes’ Highest-Paid Man In Entertainment list.

The multi-talented Tyler Perry who is a an actor, director, playwright, screenwriter, producer, author, activist and even a songwriter in his spare time and who brought comedies/dramas about African-Americans such as Why Did I Get Married Too?, Diary of a Mad Black Woman and of course the Madea saga earned $130 million from May 2010 to May 2011.

The 42-year-old star made his fortune thanks to the four films that he released last year along with the two television series “House of Payne” and “Meet the Browns” that he has on the air.

Tyler Perry who is often being blasted by Spike Lee for degrading African-American culture earned teamed up with Oprah Winfrey in 2009 to push the film “Precious,” which won two Oscars.
