The View N Word Fight Video:Whoopi Goldberg Vs Elisabeth Hasselbeck Crying – The View hosts were discussing the use of the N word when things got heated between Elisabeth and Whoopi Goldberg.Elisabeth Hasselbeck got a bit emotional.
Elisabeth cried and said:

“How are we supposed to move forward if we keep using words that bring back that pain?”

Whoopi disagreed and replied with:

“We do live in different worlds.” “You don’t understand.”
“I can tell you how, here’s how we do it, you listen and say ‘Okay, this is how we’re using this word and this is why we do it,’ and you have to say, ‘I understand that, but let’s find a new way to move forward.”

Elisabeth insisted:

“We don’t live in different worlds.” “We live in the same world.”

Whoopi fired back:

“We do live in different worlds, it’s just that way. It is Elisabeth.”

Barbara Walters snapped:

“Take a breath, let someone else talk,”

  1. Thanks Whoopi for putting Elizabeth in her place.. She talks to much and doesn’t listen.. Barbara needs to get rid of her A@S! Whoopi good looking out and standing up.. I know Rosie is loving it..

  2. While I don’t regard Elizabeth as a great mouthpiece for the conservatives, she was right with her comments. The “what should we teach our children?” was brilliant. Maybe Whoopie needs to understand that one the reasons there continues to be a divide in this country is because of the double standard that exists among blacks.

  3. Elizabeth is a strong willed woman. She believes that what she’s saying has solid merit, and everyone should pay homage to it.

Now, with all that said, an issue like this one isn’t something on which Elizabeth can have the last word…particularly in a convo with Whoopi! Whoopi lives this culture; Elizabeth observes it.

So, when all is said and done, the problem is us Black folks using the word. There’s no “double standard” issue. If I heard the n-word used in jest by my family, then it’s “acceptable” for me to hear it and use it with Black folks. Once Black culture rejects the word as a whole (not just the NAACP), then it’ll truly be “dead”.

  4. I can totally understand were Elizabeth is coming from… how do you say its okay for some people to say but not others…OKAY how double standard is that???

Just give it a rest white people can never win because history is all our fault.

  5. I am a big fan of whoopie, and side with what she says 9 out of 10 times. But I do think it was ignorant of her to say we don’t live in the same world. Although you would never hear me say the “nword,” we have evolved alot since slavery and integration in America. My African American boss would tell you that !!
