Usher to Mentor ‘American Idol’ Hopefuls

Usher to Mentor ‘American Idol’ Hopefuls – R & B star Usher will be on hand to mentor the top 10 contestants on “American Idol.”
According to Usher’s website, he is appearing on “American Idol” both Tuesday, March 30 and Wednesday, March 31. He will serve as the guest mentor and performer during the results show.

The pop star’s appearance on “Idol” coincides with the release of his new album Raymond v Raymond, which hits stores and iTunes on March 30. Usher’s appearance on March 31 will be a live episode, and he will likely perform a single off the album.
As of now, Usher has not been officially announced as a mentor for the show, but along with his scheduled performance, presumably he will aid the top 10 hopefuls with their live acts before they hit the stage.

The father of two is heavily promoting his upcoming album, and recently visited the Hot 107.9 studios in Atlanta. While there, he went into daddy-mode, revealing that he didn’t mind getting peed or pooped on by his kids, as that’s a normal part of fatherhood.
Usher also spoke on the title of his sixth album, Raymond v Raymond, explaining that it’s about his own internal battle and not his recent divorce, like many have speculated.
Fans should also be on the lookout for the video to his latest hit, “Little Freak” ft. Nicki Minaj, which is in heavy rotation on radio stations around the country. The steamy track that’s been heating up air waves will soon be blazing across television screens via your favorite music channel.
