Matt Kemp Is Rihanna’s Boyfriend – Rihanna has finally confirmed that she and baseball player Matt Kemp are in a relationship after months of insisting they were not an item.
Reports of a romance surfaced in January when the singer and the Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder vacationed together in Mexico. They were then spotted at parties and seen at basketball games together, but the pop star was quick to report she was single, and insisted she and Kemp were “just good friends.”
In February, Kemp threw the “Rude Boy” hitmaker a party in Arizona to celebrate her 22nd birthday, but she maintained, “I’m not dating anyone. I’m single.”
Kemp denied the relationship as well, telling reporters he had no time for romance: “I can’t get distracted by that. When it’s time to play baseball, that’s my job. No distractions. Rihanna is just a friend, a good friend of mine.”


Before Rihanna spilled the beans, the lovey-dovey pair was reportedly planning to live together. RiRi invited Kemp to move into her Los Angeles home with her, and according to reports Kemp was happy about shacking up the pop star.
Rihanna revealed the truth during a chat with Los Angeles radio personality Ryan Seacrest on his radio show on Thursday, April 8. She said, “He’s my boyfriend. It’s new and it’s fun, and it’s nothing too serious. I don’t want anything nuts that’s gonna take up so much of my energy and time in a bad way.”
The star athlete is the songstress’ first serious boyfriend since she split with R&B star Chris Brown in 2009. Brown was charged with assaulting the singer during a fight after a pre-Grammy Awards party. Sorry to say, Kemp also has an abusive past according to his ex-girlfriend, Felisha Terrell, who filed a restraining order against Kemp in 2008 when they broke up. Terrell described Kemp as violent and intimidating.
