Kim Kardashian Cat Photo Outrage:Kim Picture Holding Kitten – By now we’ve grown use to either nude or bikini-clad pictures of Kim Kardashian spread across the internet. But a recent photo of the busty babe holding a defenseless cat by the neck on Twitter has sparked controversy from her fans and animal rights organizations.
The reality TV star posted a twitpic of herself dressed in a low-cut all black ensemble via her Twitter page on Monday, as she held a black kitten by its fur donning black leather gloves.
“Pic from my shoot yesterday… good kitty cat!” she tweeted.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) were among those who weren’t too happy with the popular socialite’s handling of the feline.
“Kim Kardashian isn’t the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn’t needed,” a rep for PETA told the NY Daily News. “But I’ll bet plenty of fans have let her know – nicely, we hope!”
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals L.A. said that it is tolerable to hold a kitten by his or her scruff for a brief amount of time, however warns “the manner in which Ms. Kardashian is holding the kitten could lead others to mishandle animals.”
As expected, Kardashian took to her blog at, kimkardashian.celebbuzz.com, following the uproar to defend her actions.
“Hey guys! So yesterday I was doing a photo shoot with an adorable black kitty cat and I Twitpic’d a picture.
I have been getting negative comments regarding the way I was holding the kitty, but rest assured, the owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up,” she wrote. “The cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine! I love animals and would never do anything to harm any animals.”

The thing is, you’re not supposed to hold the cats like that after 12 weeks. They no longer have that extra skin and it can really hurt them, even damage the neck.
