Chris Brown Michael Jackson Tribute:BET Awards 2010 – Chris Brown gave quite the performance at the 2010 BET Awards. Now that the award show has ended, everyone has taken note to the emotional performance that was delivered by none other than Chris Brown. He definitely had the attention of the audience and he certainly has attracted far more attention to his character. It’s no secret that last year Chris Brown was deemed guilty of assaulting Rihanna who was his girlfriend at the time.
The two were suffering from a rocky relationship and from the photos that were released showing bruises up and down on Rihanna’s face, something went dangerously wrong that night. Chris Brown was a well respected actor and singer before that happened. The final conviction sentenced him to spend five years of probation as well as 180 days of community labor to help out society. The ruling to the case was controversial but nonetheless, no one can deny that five years tied down to the law and 180 days is justifiably lengthy. Chris Brown has been struggling to get back on track since his case. He has released another album but undoubtedly the sales are nothing compared to what they were previously in his career.
On the BET Awards Chris poured everything he had into his performance. You could tell from his demeanor that he was desperately trying to recollect his image and show fans who he truly is. Everyone makes mistake in life, whether you believe assaulting a female is recoverable or not, Chris Brown is trying. Jermaine Jackson introduced Chris to the audience and Brown started off his performance by dancing in tribute to Michael Jackson. He performed with some of MJ’s most renowned hits like “Billie Jean” as the background music. When Chris was approaching the end of his performance he appeared to be overtaken with emotion while dancing to “Man in the Mirror.” Almost immediately he began to cry for the rest of the show, barely making it through the rest of his number.
i am very proud of chris cause he sang what he could but after a while the way he felt about michael came out! AND ITS O.K TO SHOW UR EMOTIONS
I am very proud of Chris Brown. He did an outstanding job. and for the haters…Everyone makes mistakes, but let that not OVERSHADOW his talent!!! He is truly talented and truly LOVES, ADMIRES, AND MISSES MICHAEL, just like the rest of us. Keep your head up CHRIS.

I was so happy to see BET let chris brown perform and recieve a award because last year was not right. I was very and still disappointed in jay z, beyonce and of course rihanna. I’m not saying what chris did to rihanna was right but he paid for it and now move on. He deserves a second chance just like beyonce gave Jay z one after his numerous affairs also the one with rihanna. Everyone knows who beyonce was singing about in her songs but now beyonce and rihanna act like best friends that admire each other yeah right. But again thank you BET for allowing chris brown there and to perform even if those 3 boycott BET!
Chris I felt you, listen you are entitled to express your feelings anyway that best fit you ppl will always have something to say about you. keep your head up.

Chris Brown was so great, I’m glad to see that things are looking up for him. Hopefully he will never let anger behind some worthless chick ruin his blessings. Jay-z and Beyonce are so wrong for not showing up to the BET awards. Chris has paid for what he did to Rhianna. They’re coming off as real childish by not forgiving and moving on. But maybe Chris is their escape goat b/c it seems fishy to boycott an event, such as the BET awards, that celebrates people of their heritage all b/c of little ol’ Chris Brown. They appear to be slowly but surely “selling out”, I bet if the Grammy’s were to have Chris Breezy do a tribute or performance, Bey Bey and Hova would be front row and center.
i feel that chris brown has paid the price for wat happen. he need to hold his head up and keep it movin. and let bye gones be bye gones and get bak to his music because his fans love and miss him.

I like the performance and know that when he cried it was real it got emotional because of how chris brown admired micheal I think we all felt that people want to make something out of nothing because of chris past run in he is human and you make mistakes as long as you learn from them and move on thats all that matter people should not judge him when they have done worst in the industry etc.
