Keyshia Cole is Back:2010 BET Awards Performance – Keyshia Cole made a brave comeback at the 2010 BET awards. She was brought out by “B.o.B. during his performance of his song “Airplanes” during the show. B.o.B. started the song off by playing the piano. When Cole entered the stage, the crowd went wild. She first came out singing the chorus of the song. She has been out of the spotlight since she had her son with Daniel Gibson, a basketball player.
She now wears her hair blond. She was also wearing a textured red skirt with a black top and stilettos. Cole gave “Airplanes,” which originally featured Paramore’s Hayley Williams, a more soulful spin than was heard on the original song.
Eminem also joined the duo on stage to perform the remix of the track. The music then switched to Eminem’s new song “Not Afraid,” which he performed in front of the crowd. Eminem has been making the rounds around Hollywood, appearing on the David Letterman Show to promote his upcoming concerts with Jay-Z in New York and in Detroit. He was wearing a black jacket with a white tee and jeans when he performed on stage.
“The Comeback” certainly seemed to be the theme of this year’s BET awards. Not only did Eminem and Keyshia Cole take the stage, Chris Brown also performed. During his performance he was seen breaking down on stage. He had been performing a tribute to Michael Jackson. It is not currently clear if Brown broke down because of the monumental Michael Jackson song, or if it was related to his recent Hollywood troubles.
Keyshia Cole came out to sing Airplanes, but it didn’t really have a soulful spin it sounded more like she was trying to much. I’m a fan of Paramore and I think that the original version of Airplanes with Hayley Williams is much better and can’t really be better. I suggest that BET could have tried to get Hayley or at least just have her vocal track play in the background, what was the real need for someone else to sing her part. I think the performance was bad, but Eminem’s part and B.O.B part was good, but I would give it a 2 1/2. Keyshia Cole messed the song up bad.
Over all the performances was good. I really loved Chris Brown that really came from the heart. I shed a tear or two. I miss keyshia cole she needs to do anotha album. Like always Usher, treysongs, Ti, did they thing too.

Honestly I love keyshia Cole and respect her, but with that said not any part of the song she sung was soulful. She tried entirely to hard. Would have been much better to get Haley out there, then to have her Keyshia perform.
It wasn’t good on Keyshia’s part, no hating. I was disappointed in her singing because she can sing better than that. If she could not I would not have expected more from her. She is starting to grow on me, but I hate when songs are not matched well with a singer’s vocal talent. (like Mariah Carey at MJ’s funeral)(Every singing artist should pass on singing parts when it does not showcase their voice and forget the apologies, just do it and you would be better off and your fan base would understand) Either she should have let someone else sing that song, or passed on the opportunity of singing with them on stage, or just sung one of her own songs. It was not good. She needs to stay true to her voice, somethings just do not go well together and her and this song was one of them. Better luck next time mama!!

Keyshia Cole did her thing….I loved the way how she sang the song. She put her heart and soul into it…..she sang the song her way and you know what it worked for her. Hayley did a good job with the song I like her version too….But Keyshia made it sound better!!!

I didn’t even notice song until Keisha sung it. It’s all about preference… People are going to sound different. Keisha sung the song her way. I felt she did well. She hit notes most can’t. It’s all about your opinion of talent and who you are. I know plenty who loved the performance. This world is big (open your minds). You are not the only ones who exist or matter. Your opinions really don’t mean anything to the rest of the world.

i am keyshia coles biggest fan and i always will be and i think she did a wonderful job her voice has gotten better she is so happy now and that is such a happy feeling to see cause shes been through so much and to see her smile with daniel you know shes in a healthy relationship she has such a beautiful heart even though shes changed we have to respect the fact that shes growing up and i love all her songs she is so talented and keyshia deseves more then what shes been given i love eyshia cole

Keyshia made the stage that night she was excellent. I had no idea the song existed until I heard Keyshia on the track. I listened to the regular version after and I did not get goose bumps Keyshia gave me goose bumps. I felt the heart and soul of the song. Keyshia hurry up with album four and just keep the hits coming
