Willow Smith Whip My Hair

Willow Smith Whip My Hair – Jada Pinkett-Smith has been helping her young daughter, Willow, who is 9 years old, prepare for the bright lights and big stage for a while now. The two have even spent time crafting her image, opting for a bold look with thick gold chains and cheetah print. Some have questioned whether she is too young to be preparing to release her new album.

That speculation came to fruition today when her first song “Whip My Hair,” made its way online. With her older brother Jaden Smith already performing alongside Justin Bieber, it will be interesting to see if she makes her mark in the industry with some big time features just like her brother did. One rumor is that Jay-Z is considering signing Willow to his Roc Nation label.

In her debut song, “Whip My Hair,” she sounds a lot like Rihanna and certainly does not sound like a 9 year old. With no real competition in the tween music market, Willow could easily find a home in the competitive music industry. As the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, she has enough connections in the Scientology world to have a head start in the industry.

The song is catchy, and does not feature any inappropriate lyrics, but does have a modern sound that many will be able to connect with. It will be interesting to see what kind of opportunities the song opens for young Willow Smith.

  1. “As the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, she has enough connections in the Scientology world to have a head start in the industry. ”

Was that crack at Scientology really necessary? Her parents’ religious affiliations have nothing to do with how successful their children will be, I’d say their connections in the Hollywood industry will do more than suffice. You just needed to sneak in a snide remark about them being Scientologists one way or another, and it’s pretty lame and pathetic of you.

  2. Do any of these “celebrities” ever consider sending their kids to medical school?
This doesn’t sound like a 9 year old, and a 9 year old should be focused on, you know, education. Now there’s a novel idea.

As for the Scientology connections, that’s not exactly a plus in 2010. In case it’s slipped by you, they’re under investigation around the world for coerced abortions, human trafficking and fraud, to name a few. Scientology is now a lability, not a positive.

In short, nothing special about the song or the kid.

  3. my beautiful black people… do we have to find ways to strip or mame ourselves from looking dignified or decent. somebody fix that girl’s hair…. im with my peers on this … lets send her to medical school. famous people raise narcisstic children.

  4. Watch the South Park episode, “Trapped in the Closet.” starring Tom Cruise. It’ll tell you everything you need to know about $cientology. Nothing but the facts.

  5. I think is up to the parents if willow should start in the music career look at the bright side both of her parents are star actors so i know she will blow the music indistry away so i say let her do it age aint nothing but a number good luck willow on your journey

  6. You go girl !!! this aint got nothing to do with her parents thats just a plus this little girl got talent on her own do your thang youngen, who says she cant be a doctor and still rock the mic. Good Job Will and Jada. Willow girl do you cause you doing it well.

  7. I think that Willow is to young to be thinking about a image at nine years old I think that Jada is pushing this little girl into womanhood way to early. And as for the hair some little black girls are trying to hold on to what hair that they have instead of shaving it off for a fad.

  8. The kid is beautiful, the song is catchy. I would bet that not only is the kid going to be successful but that she is getting a great education as well.

  9. Celebrities are only as famous as their fans make them. Stop criticizing them for how they choose to bring up their children…BRING UP YOUR OWN! Who’s to say the children won’t continue to pursue their education? LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!

  10. I think Will and Jada is doing a beautiful job with their children. You know what they say, your children are a reflection of you. They’ve taught their children how to be confident, respectful, caring, loving and most of all how to be their own person. I understand why they allowed her to cut her hair, Willow is her own person, she proved to her parents that she is an individual, and that long hair does not define her. You have these parents today putting hair weave in their daughters hair as young as 5 years old, so that they can fit into a world that do not accept who they really are. I believe that Willow could be the poster child for African American children, by showing them that they are beautiful with hair or without hair…

  11. I love Kimmie’s response on Sept. 8th. They should have her focused on education, and that scientology isn’t a plus at all. Adding my own…I don’t like how they have her lookin…hair is not for a 9 yr old. If that was Willow’s idea, they shouldn’t allow a 9 yr old choose that look.

  12. dont hate on this little girl she did wonderful and it does not matter that her parents are rich, have you ever thought maybe she wanted to become a singer and not a doctor?? who are you to say that she shouldnt be what she wants to be, once you become everything you want to be and are perfect, please do not judge, especially a olittle nine year old, thank you!

  13. && another thing about her hair, please stop, her hair is beautiful && expresses her individuality , maybe you all should try it sometimes!!
