Kanye West VMA 2010 – Kanye West New Song Runaway Toast

Kanye West VMA 2010 – Kanye West New Song Runaway Toast – The MTV Video Music Awards 2010 had its usual share of interest and moments, with one special moment happening between Taylor Swift and Kanye West, although the two stars never crossed path on stage.

Last year, Kanye West caused a scene during Swift’s acceptance speech. This year, there was a forgiveness song from Swift to West, with West singing a song in return, more or less agreeing with the fact he is a jerk, for the most part.

“Who you are is not what you did,” Swift sang. “You’re still an innocent.” While West’s song was more graphically expressive, the main hook to his song was “Let’s have a toast for the scumbags.”

Also on the night, its opening was a duet between Eminem and Rihanna, with Eminem winning the awards for best male video and best Hip Hop video. Other winners were Lady Gaga, who won two awards, best female video and best pop video.

Accepting the award was hard for Lady Gaga, after she wore a dress that was ‘too heavy’ for her to walk in. Lady Gaga is widely known for her stupid and largely inappropriate clothing, which has one thinking she is striving for attention as she knows her music isn’t good enough to gain her much attention.

Linkin Park, Drake, Paramore, B.o.B, Florence + The Machine, Justin Bieber and Usher also performed on the night.
