Reggie Bush Heisman Trophy Forfeit

Reggie Bush Heisman Trophy Forfeit – Rather than deal with all of the controversy surrounding the situation, Reggie Bush has decide to forfeit his Heisman trophy and move on with his professional career. He made the announcement today, and it was confirmed by the ESPN analyst Adam Schefter.

His former college, Southern California, is facing a number of sanctions after it was found that several of their players, most prominently Reggie Bush, received money from NFL agents while they were still in college. Bush’s trophy was moved from the trophy hall after the school hired a new Athletic Director.

Vince young, who finished second in the Heisman voting that year, has made it clear that he would accept the trophy if the Heisman Trust decided to award it to him. Bush said that one of the greatest honors he has ever had was receiving the Heisman Trophy, and he was sad to be letting it go.

Bush said that he would not have received the trophy without the hard work of his teammates, and said that he was hoping to move on from the incident with his professional career.

“The persistent media speculation regarding allegations dating back to my years at USC has been both painful and distracting,” Bush said in his statement, clearly upset by the way the media has covered the event.

  1. The Heisman Trophy was given to Reggie Bush because he earned it , and that is something you can’t take from him, so it doesn’t matter who may end up with
the trophy , it will be second hand , and it won’t be earned.
So don’t feel bad Reggie, God takes one thing from us ,to make room for something bigger and better. THE SUPER BOWL RING, and that is just the beginning.
