Bishop Eddie Long Scandal – New Birth Missionary Baptist Church Pastor Fights Back – Bishop Eddie Long pronounced today one of the most anticipated sermons in his career when he reacted to the sexual abuse lawsuit filed against him this week by four young men.
Long, married with four children, the head of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta (Georgia), vowed to fight the allegations against him. The pastor said he will be there next week, doing what he does best preaching.
“There have been allegations and attacks made on me. I have never in my life portrayed myself as a perfect man. But I am not the man that’s being portrayed on the television. That’s not me. That is not me,” Bishop Long said applauded by his parishioners.
The plaintiffs, members of Long’s congregation since a very young age, claimed the pastor encouraged them to have sex with him in hotels around the world, he bought luxury cars and jewelry and gifts for them.
Two of the accusers, Anthony Flagg, 21, and Maurice Robinson, 20, started at an academy for young people created by the pastor, in which teens pay $ 500, receive a card and are reminded the reasons why they should not have sex.
The pastor, known for his sermons against gay marriage, used the academy to seduce boys, according to the attorney for the plaintiffs, B. J. Bernstein.
Long said Friday in a statement posted on the website of the congregation to be “anxious” to respond to what he called “false allegations.”
Well, I hope the accusations are not true. This is awful. Which way the accusations fall true or false. I hope justice is brought to the wrong doers.

Hopefully the accusations of sexual misconduct by Bishop Eddie Long is not true. So many families will be affected it. I pray it is not true.
If what is being said about him is True or Not, I just hope that he will not be without a Church and a job at the church. It seems like every Minister, white or black has had something said about them in a negative way. When YOU look as good as Biship Eddie Long and have done so well, there is always someone that wants to try to get some of the money that he has made or get a piece of the wonderful way of life.

My thing is this, if these boys’ were of consent age why didn’t they go to their parents? Why didn’t they go to the police? After I read our local paper Solomon star news about the aligation,i was shocked but the Lord is the judge,not every member in His Church will have supper with Him in His Kingdom but as long as you are a true Born again christian. and this is happen in the last days as satan trying to devour people in His church.
