Bishop Eddie Long SCANDAL- Jamal Parris Calls Pastor A Monster – One of the accusers of Bishop Eddie Long, Jamal Parris, has said that at one point he thought that he was in love with Eddie Long, but now he considers him to be “a monster.” The interview took place on a local television station, during which Parris claimed that Long had manipulated him from the time he was a child. “This was our father and we loved him,” he said on the program.
Parris said that Long used church funds to buy him lavish gifts. He also said that he reached out to the bishop privately before filing suit. He said that Long has turned his back on him, when at one point it seemed as if Long would have done anything for him.
The civil lawsuit was filed last Wednesday. Parris was considered to be one of Long’s “spiritual sons,” and claims that the bishop made him call him “daddy,” further exploiting his role as a father figure and a mentor to the young boys.
Long has vehemently denied the allegations against him, and has told his supporters that he will fight them in court. Parris and his mother joined the church back in 2002, and the boy alleges that within two weeks Long had given him his personal telephone number. The relationship started soon after, but intensified during the 2004-05 school year. Parris said that he was often invited to Long’s guest house during that time.

I was hoping Eddie Long would repent and spare everyone including his family from public humilation.

We should be praying for Bishop Long and his family and not be wondering whether he did it or not. Sin is sin, wheather it be lying or doing what Bishop Long is accused of. The bible does not say one sin is greater than the other. Again, if you are free of sin throw the first rock.

Unfortunately things like this happen and it is sad that we ten to throw all the good men and women of the church in with those who fail. To him much is given much is required. I believe the young men because it is so a classic case. I counseled a victim who was molested and went to the pastor and he and his wife admitted it but said that no way would they admit it in court. The one thing that I stress is to use this a a teaching moment to know that even the devil can speak the truth. Don’t let the messages that helped you be erased you just have to learn to separate the “message from the man”. Study the word yourself and let the leaders and speakers be a guide toward understanding. They should point you in the direction of a saviour and not be the saviour. We should pray for the church as a whole because when one part is hurt we all hurt. We should keep our eyes on cross and not those wearing them.
As I follow this case and have read all four lawsuits in detail….I keep thinking in my mind.”These poor boys” … I feel sorry for them either way it turns out. Sorry for them if they are found to be liars and truly sorry for them if they turn out to be the victims. The bible speaks specifically about pervertness and various wicked activites that men do that are an abonmination. If found to be true what Eddie Long has engaged in was a strategic, intentional manipulation of the ministry and of young men. This is beyond just a non-perfect man and just slipping and engaging in sin. He has delve into various levels of witchcraft (bible refers to as manipulation)santanic activity(using ceremonies,sex) and these with particular victims not random (strategy). Again if found to be true he is a sick man and his followers need to re-evaluate their personal relationship with God the creator and not this man. There are also others according to the lawsuits that were knowledgeable of this perversion… may the Lord have mercy on their souls as accomplices. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for the very perversion that is alleged. This is a big deal and it concerns me when a member of this ministry says they will support this man no matter if he is guilty or not.. That is cult mentality to the highest level. Do your research. Many who broke from cults were ostrisized by its members even when the leader was found guilty …. married girls ….had sex with girls and had babies by these girls… thier own mothers disowned them for standing up.
Now I must say the focus needs to be you these young men and their well being not Eddie Long’s … These boys are our future and many of them are still affiliated with this ministry and those who aren’t an truely need a male role model may now be very confused and not know who to turn to or trust.
Please follow this closely …. think about our future and do your research. … there is much more I could say … but ultimately this is a truly sad and unfortunate case.

We all have our crosses to bear. However, being a pastor is such a spiritually and emotional hardship. If any of us called decides to wait until we are better, healed and delivered before we serve the calling of preaching, teaching or just sharing the goodness of Jesus Christ to somone via a testimony, then we will never walk in this thing called “calling”. God does not call the equiped, but he does equip the called. He gives us the strenght to overcome and press forward and beyond our own silling mistakes and issues. This my friends is what we call grace, nothing more and nothing less. Now, as with anything, there is all ways good in the midst of evil. Paul says’s it best which is this “when I desire to do good, evil is always present” and ” that which I desire not to do, I do”. Paul was bad in the sense of being awesome. He wrote over 60% of the new testiment and when you go back and read about the history of Paul who was once Saul, you will see how he was ruthless, mean, wicked and very vengful against the very people he would latter be called to heal, deliver, help and assist and he preached and taught Jesus Christ.. Life is life, nothing more and nothing less. We all have issues so what do we do. We deal with them, have faith, dont give up, endure against all odds, hold your head up high, say “so what” to nay sayers, and realize without a shadow of doubt that God is the one who is in total control of your life and nothing and no one can ever block this eternal truth. Having confidence in people is so over rated!

Why would you feel betrayed was your trust in the man or GOD. Eddie Long is a man, and sure it hurts to think that someone you listened to could possibly turn out to be the very thing he adamantly preached against. Bu listen this world will soon perish. The end is near, and GOD is cleaning house so if Eddie Long is being a false prophet, remember GOD said it’s time for him go. He’s lifting his people up and weeding out the cold and luke warm. So don’t let Eddie be trhe source to your salvation, only christ jesus who paid a mighty price when he died for our sins. Remeber he is your saviour not Eddie Long.

How is the bishop going to cut the young men off he has created a life style that these men have become use to. No wonder all these boys are coming out the wood works.
Unfortunately, too many of us put our focus on charismatic individuals instead of the Lord. I am 41 years old and have been raised in the church. I have seen all sorts of non sense behind and infornt of the pulpit.
My 95 year old grandmother gave me some wisdom using one word “Focus”. Focus on the Lord’s word for he is our true shepard. Our fore farther David said “the lord is my shepard”. When you put men on pedistals, it is idolitary plain and simple. Whether or not Bishop Long is guilty, the fact still remains that we serve a jealous God and we put everything before him. He (Eddie Long) is just a man, thats it.

There are some things that a man of God should clear up right away.These allegations that he had sex with another man should never be at this point,not cleared up.God destroyed a city for same sex laying with each other.He has not changed thats why I clearly do not understand Bishop Long who claims to know God allowing these allegations to not be put to rest.There are many ministers of his equal that have not come forward to say anything, the reason for that is they to have things in their closets that they don’t want brought to light. God is looking for real soldiers for his army,not these wimps that just want to see who can gain the mast money and people in one place,it is develish,I am waiting a real man of GOD to step up and call these false prophets out, saints keep praying and watching God has a real man that will tell it like it is.

Ministers should never live questionable lives, we must walk circumspectly, above reproach, we must not give people an excuse to gossip , if they do, then they are creating room for the them do so, people will always speak lies about us but these lies must not be justified, people ,especially four, will hardly make uplies to international media, because there can be serious repecussion.
