Marco Rubio Defeats Charlie Crist & Kendrick Meek In Florida Election Results 2010 – Florida Election results 2010 have been unveiled and can now be found here. Few days ago Democrat Kendrick Meek made headlines after it was rumored that Bill Clinton tried to get the candidate to drop out of the Florida Senate race and to throw his support behind independent candidate Charlie Crist.

Meek who was third in the race should have removed himself from the contest because Marco Rubio
has been projected to win the Florida Senate seat.

Rubio a Hispanic, former president of the state House, a native of Miami, who was an unknown 18 months ago has beat Crist and Meek.

Marco who has become the star of the Tea Party, ultra-conservative wing of the Republican Party is expected to become a key player of the GOP and may be the man to give president a run for his money in 2012.

The Republican candidate who is the son of Cuban immigrants and is a charismatic lawyer of 39 years of age said after winning:

“We make a great mistake if we believe that tonight these results are somehow an embrace of the Republican party.”

The politician seduced the voters with the message that President, Barack Obama and his administration of were driving the country towards a financial cliff.

The Tea party darling who studied and graduated from the University of Florida in 1993 is against Obama’s economic stimulus plan and the health care reform.
