Matt Lauer Kanye West Interview Drama

Matt Lauer Kanye West Interview Drama – Kanye West recently did an interview with Matt Lauer of the “Today” show where he was was hoping to talk about his upcoming CD called “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” that will be out on November 22nd – but instead he claims that he was ambushed by the TV host who forced him to talk about his altercation with Taylor Swift dating back to September 2009 during the MTV Video Music Awards and the fact that he called former President Bush a racist during hurricane Katrina back in 2005.

Needless to say that Kanye West who got very angry at the reporter took to his Twitter account to blast the man who asked him too many questions about Swift and Bush.

In his rant, the rapper tried to acknowledge his past errors while setting the record straight by saying that the interview was never supposed to be about his past scandals and that Lauer trapped him in order to get big ratings and push his agenda.

Here is what the “Power” rapper wrote:

“While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the ‘MTV’ under me with audio!!!!!!!,” West tweeted Tuesday, referring to video of Yeezy’s much-ballyhooed drama with Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs. “I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the Today Show … and that’s a very nice way for me to put it! … HE TRIED TO FORCE MY ANSWERS. IT WAS VERY BRUTAL AND I CAME THERE WITH ONLY POSITIVE INTENT … I feel very alone very used very tortured very forced very misunderstood very hollow very very misused … I don’t trust anyone but myself! Everyone has an agenda. I don’t do press anymore. I can’t be everything to everybody anymore … I can’t be everybody’s hero and villain savior and sinner Christian and anti Christ! … I can’t take anymore advice!!! I create, I’m creative, I have a good heart, everyone will see and understand one day.”

The journalist who also did an interview with former U.S. president George W. Bush about his newly released memoirs, called “Decision Points” released a statement where he said that his conduct was appropriate towards the rapper and that he believes that he did nothing wrong during the interview.

  1. I think that it was wrong for Matt Lauer to bring up the past. Kanye West did aplolgize to taylor swift for what he said. But for real I agree whole heartly with Kanye West he was the only one who had the guts to speak out especially about Katrina. You all know that It took too long for help to arrive in New Orleans WHY. Kanye West spoke how he feel like a lot of these white people do. How Charlie Sheen yells NIGGER out of the hotel and like angelina jolie’s father talk about OBAMA. Why is it that whites can say whatever they want about us and we take it with a smile and except their apologies, but when blacks do it they get punished?
