Carlina White Kidnapping Nightmare Ends With Family Reunion 24 Years Later

Carlina White who is the twenty-three year old woman who was kidnapped by Ann Pettway pretending to be a nurse at a Harlem Hospital when she was just nineteen days old found her biological family without any help from the police.

White was reunited with her biological mother Joy White who was overjoyed to see her daughter after the many years of wondering where she had gone.

Miss White also known as Nejdra Nance who is now a mother herself met her father Carl Tyson, and other biological relatives during a big reunion/celebration in Atlanta where she currently lives.

Carlina White says that she is overwhelmed by everything that has been happening; especially meeting her biological family which she never imagined would happen. Saying it almost feels like a movie adding that she is now happy to be getting on with her life and moving on past what happened to her.

Ashley Pettway, who grew up believing that Carlina White was her cousin revealed:

“People would say little things, like she didn’t look like Ann.But it was never spoken out loud, just things said under the table.”

Joy White, Carlina’ biological mother, expressed her joy at finally getting to meet with and talk to her daughter who she believed was no longer alive.

The last time she had seen her daughter was in 1987 when she gave birth to her baby girl and it was definitely an emotional reunion indeed.

Carlina told staff members at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that made possible to find her real family that she finally felt that she knows who she is after years of being lied to and deceived.

  1. This story has definitely touched my heart. I hope the poor excuse for a human being that took her from her mother spends the rest of her life behind bars!
