A Bronx minister was arrested and charged with rape on Friday after reportedly having sex with a parishioner, a girl from the time she was 12 years old according to prosecutors.
The minister named Michael Clare is a 38 year-old head of the Harvest Worship Center in Wakefield. It’s now said that the girl who is 15 years old is pregnant.
On June 14 of last year Clare was arrested on second-degree rape charges but it wasn’t until Friday that a Grand Jury moved the charges to first-degree rape charges.
The Jamaican born Clare was a child prodigy preacher who became a pastor at the age of 26 according to data gleaned from his MySpace page that also shows videos and pictures of him preaching and promoting him as a stand up person.
He is now being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
Clare billed himself highly and he even ran a school called Harvest Prep that was run from out of his church store front. Referred to as “Dr. Clare” it’s unclear where he got his doctorate.
The charges against him has shocked friends, family, and parishioners.
Sadly this is not the first time. How the state left children in his care is beyond. Me. He is nothing but a con artist. Probably doesn’t even have a GED.
This doesn’t surprise anyone from the churches in the North Bronx where Michael Clare’s behavior has been talked about for years.
First Michael Clare is not 38 or 34 or 35 as you will see on his different websites…Michael is at least 42 years. Michael is on his 3rd marriage.

I used to work for “Pastor Clare” and when I say that this does not surprise me is an understatement. He is a rapist and always pray on young girls like myself. The wife he has now he meet her as a teen when she was working for him. He tried to say dirty things to me and when I told my parents they made me quit, which isnt a bad thing. True or False it is wrong in the eyes of God and the court of the law. Yes for those who believe his innocence we will see when the court date comes.
