A new Lil Kim track – that leaked online Sunday – goes after rising hip hop star Nicki Minaj. But the diss isn’t really new – Lil Kim has been going after Minaj for some months now.
Titled “Warning,” Kim’s song is reportedly from her new mix tape “Black Friday” that is a play off of Minaj’s new album “Pink Friday.” Kim lets loose a few shots in the short song: “All these bi—-es is my pets/I keep a tight leash around they necks/b—-es try to bite, take they a—es to the vet/put em right to sleep like they popped a Xanax.”
The verbal feud goes back to last year when Kim took offense to Minaj’s “Roman’s Revenge” claiming it took subtle shots at her. “It’ll be a murder scene, I’ll turn a Pink Friday to Friday the 13th,” Kim rapped on “Black Friday.”
Minaj has mostly avoided the conflict and when she has addressed it she spoke diplomatically.
“I respect you, I love you. I’ve said it in every interview time and time again,” Minaj told a radio interviewer in November.
“If that’s not good enough with you, mama, it’s something deep rooted in you. Something is bothering you inside. That’s your insecurity bothering you. It’s not Nicki Minaj.”
