Lil Kim Black Friday Mixtape: PayPal Success

Lil Kim is boasting that she set a Pay Pal record for sales of her new mixtape “Black Friday” but the claims can’t be independently confirmed.

In a Twitter message, Lil Kim claims to have sold 113,000 copies of the recording in the first 28 hours it was available for sale.

The album was offered with an autograph to the first 100,000 buyers and was for sale at an unusually high price (for a mix tape) of $9.99.

“Thanks to you guys!! #lilkimblackfridaymixtape sold 113,000 copies in 28 hours which made me the #1 seller on paypal ever = ) THANK U!,” Lil Kim tweeted.
The problem is PayPal can’t confirm or deny Lil Kim’s claims, according to company representative Charlotte Hill. She said the company can’t release specific figures due to a privacy policy.

“But we’re really happy that Lil Kim is having success with PayPal!,” Hill said.

In 2005, Lil Kim’s “The Naked Truth” recording took a week to sell 109,000 copies. But this time around Lil Kim has been waging a near-daily war of words against Nicki Minaj on Twitter and in interviews.

The cover of “Black Friday” depicts a bloody scene that appears to show a beheaded representation of Minaj with Lil Kim holding a samurai sword.
