Noah Robinson Sr. Oprah Winfrey’s Father?

Noah Robinson Sr. Oprah Winfrey’s Father? – We watched as Oprah Winfrey traced her ancestral roots on national television in 2007, which featured her birth father Vernon Winfrey, and the media mogul’s biological dad has never come into question until now.
A man has come forward claiming to be Winfrey’s estranged father. Noah Robinson Sr. has revealed that he tried to reach the talk show host in an attempt to get her to agree to a DNA test.
“I told her in a letter, if she wanted, I’d give her one,” the 84-year-old told the New York Post. “I never got no answer. I never did get no answer. If I did, it didn’t get to me.”

Robinson said that he sent mementos from his life in the letter to Winfrey, including his social security number and a picture of him in the navy in World War II.
The Mississippi farmer, who now lives in a rural Virginia hospital, said that his dream is to be able to talk to the woman who he says is his daughter before he dies. “I’d like her to call me. I’m her real father. I haven’t seen her since she was a kid. She was a little bitty thing.”
In 2006, Winfrey first appeared on African American Lives, when she discussed the struggles and accomplishments of her ancestors with the series host, Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. Winfrey and Professor Gates continued their genealogical quest to discover a fuller history of Winfrey’s ancestry, presenting Oprah’s Roots: An African American Lives Special on PBS, which premiered January 24, 2007.
The program discovered unsung heroes among Winfrey’s ancestors as Gates guided a remarkable in-depth journey through her family history. Oprah’s Roots offered many new insights into how one of the world’s most famous people emerged from an exceptional family – including uncovering the stories of her paternal grandfather, maternal great-grandmother and great-great-grandfather.
“I feel empowered to say, ‘This is who you are, this is where you’ve come from. You’ve come from strength and power and endurance and pain and suffering and triumph. You’ve come from all of that. And so imagine now how much more you can be,’” Winfrey said during her Oprah’s Roots special.

  1. Oprah has to much money, power and smarts to be ignorant of the fact. If Vernita claims she didn’t tell Oprah about Pat #2 , she probably didn’t tell her about who her real father is. Remember Pat #2 had to go to a niece in order to establish kinship because Vernita the mother refused to contact her, like Oprah if refusing to take an DNA for Noah Robinson.
