Amare Stoudemire Jewish Roots?

Amare Stoudemire Jewish Roots? – There has been a lot of speculation lately about the religious preferences of Amar’e Stoudemire, who is currently in Israel studying Hebrew, and is a new addition to New Yorks all-star athletic lineup.

He has long since been dropping little hints about a possible conversion, but he has been creating more confusion than anything else. His veiled comments about ‘his roots’ seem to point to a Jewish lineage, but that is largely in debate.

His mother has claimed she has some Jewish heritage far back in her blood, but she had no specifics, or any evidence to back this up.

At the very least, he seems to be dedicated to learning about the faith. His trip to Israel is proof of that, and the Star of David tattoo he sports is another. His choice in religion is becoming more clear by the day.

What is hard to understand is why it is generating so much interest. Perhaps it is the sudden statements that have become much more direct since his announced move to NYC. Maybe it is just that the Jewish world is getting a high-profile athlete on their proverbial side.

Whatever it is, his Jewish agent says that he has no idea what is going on, but that he isn’t one of the Chosen People. According to him, things have just been blown out of proportion, but more needs to be done to look into the whole thing to know before.

So, there you go….nothing was actually learned.
