Kid Cudi New Album: Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager

Kid Cudi New Album: Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager – Despite his sleeper popularity with his first album, it would seem that Kid Cudi’s latest album release falls quite a bit short of the genius that fans were assuredly hoping for. The album, entitled “Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager” contains 17 tracks, with each one seemingly more confused and crazed than the last.

The album finds Kid Cudi attempting to experiment with lots of lo-fi as well as stories about his marijuana days that are fairly incomprehensible to anyone but himself. Not only that, but the lyrics that he does manage to come up with are indistinguishable, and the beats backing them are empty, lacking any sort of success.

“Scott Mescudi vs. the World” has Kid Cudi throwing things back to the 80’s, with his melodies that are too simple and lacking any sort of depth. Unfortunately, with the lyrics being so overwhelmingly repetitive, there is not much chance of redemption on this track.

Although the album is increasingly difficult to plod through, there is one song that shines high above the rest. “Wild’n Cuz I’m Young” finally find Cudi in his element, with deep bass beats, and a rap that actually makes sense.

  1. i actually love his new album, and think i it is better than the last.
in the last album i skipped through the cd cuz i didnt like the beats. in this one i can just let the cd run, i love the beats and lyrics. i dont think theyre boring and everyone i have talked to is in love with the cd.
a few of my favorites are these worries, all along, marijuana, the end, mr. rager, and erase me.
    cudi is amazing.

  2. I do miss Cudi’s raps that he had in the first cd but this one is nothing that falls ‘short.’ the beats are addictive and have a Queen feel to them, big and loud. Of all the tracks on the album I actually like wildn cause I’m young the least. It’s more of a common sound that you find in a lot of music these days. I agree with Liz on the songs and add maniac, ghost, and revofevo.

  3. Wow i can’t believe how many people like erase me lol. I think thats the worst song on the album…my favs are

    These worries
    Marijuanna
    Mojo So Dope
    Mr. Rager
    Mood

Hell i love every song on here except that erase me. Just seem a little too commercial for me, i like poker face better.

  4. Oh yeah, how could i forget about Ghost.

    YEAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAHHH OOOO WOOOOOONNNHHHHHHHHHH

hahahaha cudi is that dude man.

Him and wiz khalifa is the future to cleaning up this rap game, seriously…

  5. I think his album is great. who the hell wrote this review? He or she obviously have no clue on how horrible the hip hop game is now. Artist like Cudi, Wiz, Lupe Fiasco, Common, etc. are the future for this rap game bullshit. Just like Cudi said, he is a complicated artist, he is not simple. So who ever wrote this review is obviously VERY simple and just wanted to hear bullsh*t over things that make you think. lol

  6. O man I love Kid Cudi but I was hurtin after I heard this album. Im definitely not feeling it except Scott Mescudi vs The World, Marijuana, and The Mood. But Wiz Khalifa is also the shit. I can’t get enough of his shit. But if you guys want to listen to someone you might have not heard of but might have is CyHi Da Prynce. Hes got some pretty ill shit. The Prynce of Jacks and Royal Flush are two mixtapes that I have found of him and I think Royal Flush is some of the craziest shit I have heard for a while.
