Sean “Diddy” Combs Jackets Dog Fur Problem

Sean “Diddy” Combs has landed himself in hot water with dog lovers all over the world.

Recently it was discovered that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ company Sean John has been selling hooded jackets made of dog fur via Macy’s.

An investigation conducted by the Humane Society shockingly revealed that the clothes were falsely being advertised as faux fur by Macy’s as it turned out the two styles were carrying “raccoon dog” which can be described as followed :

The Raccoon dog also known as the Magnut or Tanuki, is a member of the Canidae family and is indigenous to east Asia. The raccoon dog is named for its resemblance to the raccoon (Procyon lotor), to which it is not closely related. The raccoon dog populations have declined in recent years due to hunting, fur trade and fur trapping, urbanization, an increase of animals associated with human civilization such as pets and abandoned animals, and diseases that may be transmitted between them.

The animal protection organization president and CEO Wayne Pacelle said:

“First these jackets were falsely advertised as faux fur, and then it turned out that the fur came from a type of dog.”

Orlando Veras, a spokesman at Macy’s added:

“We have a long-standing policy against the selling of any dog or cat fur. This policy is clearly communicated to all suppliers.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs released his own saying:

“I was completely unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the Macy’s floor and Web site. I have instructed our outerwear licensee to cease the production of any garments using this material immediately.”

Macy’s has removed all of the coats from their stores and website.

  1. hang him along side vick and let them both rot–maybe obama would lke to offer his dog to make a nice coat–especially since he likes dog murderers and could care less about animals.. I’m a Dem–but will NEVER vote for ANYONE that forgives dog murderers!!!!

  2. i don’t believe I’m the only one to respond re jerk and dog killer diddy–what a stupid name!

  3. Do you realize how the fur is gotten from these dogs..they are skinned alive. They are beaten and thrown to the ground and strung up by one leg and their hide is removed while they scream in agony for over twenty minutes-REALLY!! This guy and all who support this activity should receive a dose of this evil medicine. Please don’t support the Chinese fur trade -please don’t buy fur. Please never assume it is fake..it may not be.

  4. I think as I read ,that Diddy pulled his outerwear form Macy’s. But what I want to know is ,why do stars think when they make it in the big time that FUR is the ESSENCE of making it. I would like to think some stars would use their fame as a platform against it as some already have but not enough. Look at Jennifer (fur crazy)Lopez, some of the REAL HOUSEWIVES,Kim Kardashian. When I look at pictures of stars all trimmed out in FUR I feel sorry for them, like their lives weren’t good enough as children or something that has made them incapable of COMPASSIONATE acts. When I see stars that wear fur I no longer watch their shows (like Gerald McRaney in Major Dad or any of his movies or his wifes Delta Burke even if she did not wear FUR she still condones his trapping and murdering animals in a fenced hunting camp).I will not buy any of their products as long as they think animals are not worth saving. But then we all have to face GOD in the end and you cannot take it with you, so instead of buying a $200,000.00 dollar lifeless fur, invest in keeping yourself warm (in Heart) knowing you did something good for HUMANITY’S Sake.Any one know where I can buy “Made in USA” all I can find is Made in China?
