Jahmell Crockham: Alleged Cop killer Arrested In Camden

19-year-old Jahmell Crockham was arrested early Sunday morning. Crockham’s street name is “Sav,” which is short for “Savage.” The fugitive “Sav” was on the run before being captured at his apartment hideout in Camden.

Crockham stands accused of killing Lakewood patrolman Christopher Matlosz. Matlosz was shot to death in the seat of his squad car at 4 pm on Friday, January 14. Matlosz was 27-years-old.

Crockham had standing charges before allegedly killing Matlosz. On December 29, a warrant for his arrest was issued. He was charged with possessing an illegal rifle with hollow-point bullets. Matlosz had pulled up his squad car beside Crockham. It remains unclear as to why Matlosz stopped Crockham.

After shooting Matlosz, Crockham led police on a chase across three states. He was pursued by armored vehicles, canine units, and helicopters.

Police searched house to house, but were eventually led to Crockham’s hideout in Camden.

Camden is a neighborhood stricken by poverty. It is located across from Philadelphia on the other side of the Delaware River. It is located 70 miles to the southwest of Lakewood.

The loss of Matlosz was a blow to the Lakewood Police Department. Matlosz was set to be married next year.

  1. Tell a story, than than it straight “After shooting Matlosz, Crockham led police on a chase across three states. He was pursued by armored vehicles, canine units, and helicopters.” is a bunch of BS, there was no chase

  2. There was no chase. He murdered the police officer, and fled. There was a manhunt. Not a chase. He was arrested without incident.
