Dr. Conrad Murray Pleads Not Guilty In Michael Jackson Death

Dr. Conrad Murray, the man accused of killing pop star Michael Jackson with an overdose of a powerful anesthetic, recently pleaded not guilty to the charges of involuntary manslaughter that have been brought against him.

The media reported that the doctor told the court that he was an innocent man and refused to admit anything else.

Judge Michael Pastor asked Murray, “To the charge of the offense of involuntary manslaughter a felony Dr. Murray, how do you plead?” Murray replied in a clear voice, “Your honor I am an innocent man, I therefore plead not guilty.”

According to the lawyers who are representing the doctor in the case, they believe that he is ready to go to trial and testify for himself.

“Dr. Murray is looking forward to the opportunity to finally tell his side of the story,” said Ed Chernoff, the lawyer representing the accused.

However, the prosecution for the case believe that there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Murray did not act innocently throughout the ordeal, and administering a lethal dose of Propofol, the anesthetic that caused the singer to go into cardiac arrest.

If convicted, Murray is facing up to four years in prison, and a revoked medical license.
