Shacara McLaurin: Idol Contestant Beaten By 5 Brooklyn High School Girls

A former “American Idol” contestant was beaten by her fellow classmates who assaulted her with a padlock wrapped in a sock.

The girl Shacara McLaurin is a student at the Brooklyn Academy High School. The talent show she was to appear in has been canceled according to administrators.

The victim is talented enough to have reportedly been on the American Idol show auditioning.

The assault may have been over a boy say some rumors.

Needless to say such violence at a high school should not be tolerated and with videos streaming in every day it appears showing violent attacks at schools in the US it’s high time for officials to crack down on such conduct. This past week alone videos of large brawls outside some high schools that had latino and black students going at each other surfaced.

Teens today have the internet and cell phones where they record their most wild and intimate moments and parents unaware can find their own children the focus of massive worldwide attention in a matter of hours.

There is no word on whether this attack was captured on video but with the massive amounts of cameras out there today it wouldn’t be a surprise.
