Mariah Carey “M.” Fragrance Inspired By Toasted Marshmallows

Mariah Carey explained yesterday that her “M” fragrance’s aroma brings back childhood memories such as sitting by the campfire.

The diva also revealed that she was not a perfume person until she smelled “M” of course:

“This is the first fragrance that I wear,”
“I’m not really a perfume person at all …
Things that are too strong and overwhelming, that’s what I was always not a fan of.”

Carey also told the media that the fragrance idea came from Elizabeth Arden.
She decided to give it a try because the company allowed her to participate in the entire procedure.

“They were welcoming in my involvement just in every detail, and that was what was the most exciting thing to me,”

The perfume,is based on different scents that are near and dear to her heart.
Including a Moroccan incense,a flower called the Living Tahitian Tiare and toasted marshmallows.

The latter was added because it brought back happy memories of her childhood around the campfire. But she adds:

“It’s blended in there — it’s not like you’re gonna walk around smelling like marshmallows.”

I hope not for her sake.
The perfume comes in a purple bottle with her signature butterfly icon on top.
Carey made a guest appearance on the BET show ‘106 and Park’ yesterday.
