Aaliyah Biopic Details With Keisha Chante Directed By Bill Condon – More details are emerging about Aaliyah’s forthcoming biopic in which will star Canadian singer Keisha Chante.Bill Condon who was the director behind the critically acclaimed film ‘Dreamgirls’ is working on the as-yet-untitled biopic.Condon is certain that Chante will receive praise just like Jennifer Lopez did in the role of Selena.Bill said:
“We are going to great extremities to make this movie perfect. We have (Keisha) Chante in extensive… …training studying, speaking with family members, watching personal footage and in choreography training with Aaliyah’s choreographer and dear friend Fatima Robinson. This movie will will be seamless the same way it was for Selena fans who enjoyed Jennifer Lopez.” In addition to Keisha Chante, who has been cast as Aaliyah, the “One In A Million” singer’s choreographer Fatima Robinson, Timbaland, Ginuwine, and Missy Elliott are to be featured in the film. “Rock The Boat” music video director Hype Williams has also been tapped for the film to recreate Aaliyah’s final video shoot.
We’ll be “going deep into Aaliyah’s life”.
I think the movie should be called “Alliyah” or ” Baby Girl”

Kesha Chante is cute ,and she kind of looks like Aaliyah but not enough to play her on the silver screen.Kesha is not an unknown even though shes not that famous.All we would see is Kesha Chante up on the screen ,not Aaliyah.They should have an open casting call/search for an unknown.Girls from all over the USA who feel they look and can portray Aaliyah . I think that if Keshia Chante’ does play Aaliyah she should only play her in her teens but as a more mature young woman in the movie they should get someone else. But to be brutally honest they should have a casting call to find a unknown talented actress to portray Aaliyah because Keshia Chante isn’t ‘THE ONE’.
